Therapeutic Garden Consultant.
For the "Therapeutic Garden" I was invited to advise during the conceptual stages of this Hospital Comforts Fund refit initiative.To counter the box-shaped courtyard I proposed an enclosure with raised organic flowerbed shapes and a curved central pathway to improve access. Introduced along the open side the pergola would transform the garden into a cloistered exterior room space. The planters and paving would be laid and constructed using Purbeck Stone quarried in Dorset. The final design was refined and simplified by a local garden contractor following consultations with members of the hospital staff.
