Capital's health on display
Catalogue
An exhibition showcasing London's largest ever healthcare building programme was officially opened on 11 October 2005 at The Building Centre in central London.
"Capital Health: London's New Healthcare Estate, which forms part of New London Architecture, is showing via models and other displays how £7bn will be spent on healthcare construction in London over the next 10 years. New models of care such as devolving less acute services back into the community are displayed in examples like the Kentish Town Healthcare Centre. Cutting edge design is embodied in the new Maggie's Centre scheme at Charing Cross Hospital, designed by Richard Rogers Partnership. Models of the gigantic Royal London Hospitals PFI and the new triangular PFI scheme at Bart's provide much food for thought." HD Hospital Development
